How it works
PetrolNearby helps you compare reported fuel prices at filling stations near a UK postcode or your current location. Choose Petrol E10, Diesel B7 or Super E5, pick a radius and sort by cheapest or nearest.
Prices and units
Prices are shown in pence per litre (p/L), for example 139.9 p/L. Each grade is compared only with the same grade: E10 petrol, E5 super unleaded and standard B7 diesel are never mixed. Premium diesel is labelled separately on station pages. A station with no usable current price is listed separately and can never be shown as the cheapest.
“Cheapest in this search” means the lowest reported price among the stations matching your fuel and radius. It is not a claim about the cheapest price in the UK.
Distance and radius
Distances are straight-line (“as the crow flies”) from your postcode or location, not driving distances or journey times. The radius filter (1, 3, 5, 10 or 25 miles) uses each station's coordinates. Use the Directions link to plan the actual route in your maps app.
How fresh are the prices?
Retailers report price changes to the UK Government's Fuel Finder service, and our servers check for updates regularly. Each price shows when the station reported it (“Price reported”). Separately, we show when our service last fetched data successfully (“Feed checked”). If updates are delayed we say so. Reporting and processing delays mean a price may have changed: always check the price at the pump.
An old “Price reported” time doesn't necessarily mean the price is wrong — some stations keep the same price for a while. Prices not reported for over 30 days are still shown with their date, but left out of averages, trends and “cheapest” lists, because the station may have stopped reporting. We don't independently verify prices.

What we don't do
No accounts, no tracking of your location, no price history and no in-app navigation. Electric vehicle charging may be added in future; it is not part of this service yet.
